Results FAQ
What Times Are Provided For Teams?
Each team will be timed as a team and is guaranteed a TEAM FINISH TIME. Lap times may be provided; however, the official time shall only be the final finish time. Lap times, if provided, will only be listed as Lap 1, Lap 2, Lap 3, etc. and runners will not receive specific times tied to their names. Runners may find their time by referencing the lap they ran, but individual names will not be tied to the laps.
Why Are Lap Times Not Guaranteed?
Unfortunately, opportunities occur out of control of the Race Officials that lead to incorrect or unrecorded times (teams often forget to exchange the timing chips, wear them someplace other than their ankle, worn under long pants, participants bypassing the timing mats to exchange their chip at their tent, etc.) which results in incorrect lap times or merging laps together, etc. Best efforts are made to capture all lap times, however due to this only Finish times will be guaranteed.
Why Do Some Teams Have Finish Times Without All Lap Times?
By using multiple readers, the time the finish line was crossed can be isolated from the lap times. For those teams that don't have all 11 reads, cumulative split times were cross referenced to match the finish time. For teams that did not appear close to having enough laps or lap times inconsistent with their overall finish time are listed as incomplete.
Will Lap Time Adjustments Be Made?
No, the only adjustments to finish times will be made if the finish time is determined to be incorrect. If you feel the finish time is incorrect, please email [email protected] a photograph of the runner in question crossing the finish line with the clock pictured, and/or records from a GPS watch of the run, as well as the bib number of the runner and PRS Race Timing will search through the records of the four redundant systems used at the finish line to verify the time and correct if needed.
